About Me

image0ffice.jpeg

I’m a psychotherapist who believes in the capacity for people to learn and grow from the challenges life brings. This is called Resiliency. I’ve focused my practice around this fundamental belief and as I look for resiliency in the people I’m privileged to work with, I believe we create more of it.

My years of experiences as a family and mental health therapist have focused primarily in mental health programs. I helped pioneer the development of an addiction treatment program, a psychiatric outpatient mental health program and an eating disorders program. I trained and worked in numerous therapeutic approaches before providing supervision to students and eventually teaching at Mount Royal University and the University of Calgary.

I moved to the beautiful Okanagan in 2012 to start a transition to a more balanced lifestyle of work, leisure, family and friends. I started a private practice and have enjoyed my work more than I could ever imagine. I am committed to continuing my journey of growing and learning as long as I am in practice. I participate in regular supervision and attend professional workshops, conferences and seminars to keep my skills and knowledge focused and relevant to today’s issues and realities.
