Areas of Practice
Therapy is a journey of learning and growth that we take together.
This journey requires mutual trust and respect. Once I’ve learned about the challenges you are facing and the strengths, wisdom and experiences you bring, we will talk about the kind of therapy that may be most helpful. I believe in being open and transparent as we move towards the goals that you wish to achieve at a pace you are comfortable with.
Working with Individuals, Couples and Families, I offer compassionate and respectful counselling to a broad range of mental health concerns including:
Emotional Distress: Depression, Anxiety, and other mood disorders
Relationship issues: Marriage Enhancement, Blending Families, Conflict
Separation and Divorce
Eating Disorders and Body Image Concerns
Substance abuse and misuse
Life Transition Issues: Post-partum, Menopause, Loss and Grief
Domestic Violence and Abuse
Effects of illness
I am trained to provide a variety of clinical therapeutic approaches that include:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Solution Focused Therapy
Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT)
There are many reasons that you may choose to meet online for therapy. Whether it’s because of COVID or other health concerns, you live out of town, you have childcare commitments or you just have a very busy life and find it difficult to attend an in-person appointment. The option to meet online via Zoom is available.
Connecting is easy and safe
To get started, all you need is access to a phone, laptop or desktop computer and a secure WIFI connection. Once you download the Zoom App, I will be able to send you an invitation that you accept to bring you into our online session. I will walk you through the steps if you have any problems getting connected online.
